What's the point? They'll just doctor them to get what they

wanted them to be either favorable or unfavorable to which ever political party in power. It's just smoke & mirrors.

The number that is used is consistent across administrations, so the information is useful. If a barometer makes the same degree of error across the seasons, whether the mercury is rising or falling, one can still use its readings to ascertain the weather.

In other words, an 8.3 percent unemployment rate in the Obama administration is the same as an 8.3 unemployment rate in the Bush administration, the Clinton administration, the Papa Bush administration, the Reagan administration, the Carter administration, ad infinitum. The actual rate may be higher, but it likewise would have been higher in times past also.

So, I don't really get your point at all.
