Arnold, Michigan notary
In the past 5 days, Arnold has been assigned to (2) closing that cancelled on me. Notaries take note, if a job cancels ask the lender to give you the 1st opportunity for the closing. Sometimes the borrower makes the request, but you need to put a word in the lenders ear as well. In my case, it was the borrower who called me to let me know that it went to Arnold,

That was my first thought as well, but if Arnold is low balling how long can he last. This was a 161 pg doc set with fax backs.

Not lowballing have fees acceptable by Title companies that I deal with . Oh I have been doing closings for 10 plus years. And the title companies called me I didn't solict them for the signings.

The title companies never mention that assignments are reschedules . And I have also lost or had assignments cancelled and rescheduled with other notaries . Its the nature of the business and the Title companies schedulers . The loyality of the title company is fleeting .

Are you the Arnold? If so, hope you did not low ball the fee.

Re: Did you read his response?
Yes, FYI, I have been a Notary for 25 plus years, I respect Notaries and if someone put a question out to me I would have responded to them as, "obviously, you should have been called, what can I do for you." There is work out there for everyone, some just need to exercise their professional courtesy.

lol....i guess we need to ask the hiring party if it is a reschedule and make sure they gave the original notary a call before we accept the job...25 years in the business and apparently no business sense...

Re: Did you read his response?
Maybe we are the "Lone Ranger" of signing services but giving first right of refusal for a rescheduled signing assignment always goes to the person originally scheduled to do the signing. It is the only fair way to handle the situation from our perspective.
It pains us when a signing agent accepts our assignments and the turns away other assignments due to that time slot being committed only to have the signing cancel and not necessarily at the last minute.
