Background Check in California

When we apply for a notary commission we are fingerprinted and a background check is done. This process is completed before SOS issues the commission. Some companies require a background check to perform signings, if your a notary from California does this cover the GBLA Requirement? Or is it necessary to get a new background check from an outside company? If so, are there companies besides the NNA that perform this duty?

You are correct in that we notaries in California are thoroughly BGC'd by DOJ and FBI. Unfortunately, The XYZ has convinced many companies that more is needed in order to sell their product. Right here on NR you can get this BGC done and from what I have found, most companies will accept.
