For those professionals doing residential REO inspections

For those juggling a list of REO properties that must be managed and maintained, Mobile Business Concepts (MBC) created an app and software to make the process smoother and more efficient.

“We built this app because I have family members in the preservation industry, and I saw how hard it was for them to get their photo documentation that was needed for their clients from their guys in the field,” said Jason Harvey, CEO and founder of MBC.

REO Photo, the app’s name, will help contractors get organized through features such as the ability to assign jobs, track progress, and document work with photos.

Harvey said that the idea came after seeing family members in the industry wait an additional hour to meet a field worker to get a SIM card, which appeared to be an easier solution than waiting for the worker to go home, email the photos, and then have them downloaded.

“Once [MBC] got involved and started to see how bad the issue was, we realized how much more productive the app could make contractors and their field employees,” Harvey said. “On average, we have witnessed the app save each field worker two hours of work each day.”

Through the app, field staffers can get directions to the assigned property and report issues using their phone or email without leaving the app. Another feature is that it allows job profiles to be sorted by status-accepted, pending or completed. In addition, tasks such as electrical fixes, trash removal, or exterior maintenance can be viewed and checked off.

The app will be available March 1 through iTunes and the App Store and made available to Android products shortly afterwards.
