Got a call from the Nevada SOS today

They are really serious about notaries performing weddings in Nevada. She wanted information as to how it worked in Florida. We talked for a while... It seems likely that the bill will pass.

I also spoke to Bru Ethridge at the Nevada SOS notary division today about notaries performing weddings in Florida. She wanted to know who commissioned Notaries in Florida and what the fee was for performing weddings. I also gave her contact info for a SC notary who performs weddings as she was looking for that info as well.

Oops should add that I had called her when I got the message that she needed to talk to a FL notary who performed weddings. She is on a mailing list I am subscribed to.

I'm not sure that making either marriage or divorce easier is in my best interests; things certainly didn't work out too well even when both required some effort to acquire. Being able to get either wholesale sends a chill down my spine sufficient to cool a whole sixpack for the Super Bowl tomorrow.
