HP 3390 Users
If you plan or have upgraded your computer operating system to Windows 7, the HP 3390 no longer will work to scan legal size documents. HP also does not have any plans to provide an updated driver.
Let's all call Customer Relations @ 1-888-943-8476 and issue a complaint. Maybe if enough of us call, they will start providing a update.
It is a shame to spend such big $$$ to find out in just 2 years the scanner portion no longer works.
Please take the time today.
Thanks

Re: HP doesn't care
how many people call and file a complaint about the lack of updated drivers. Before updating software or computers, you need to investigate ahead of time to see if your older equipment will work with the new software. If not, it is a good idea to keep an older computer with the correct drivers installed for, in this case, your scanner.

scanner for that very reason, while everything else is networked to the new computer.

Assured by who?
Windows has a compatibility test to see if you will have equipment issues or software issues with a new operating system/equipment before purchasing. It will let you know if your equipment manufacturers provide updated drivers.
If equipment manufacturers don't provide updated drivers, it comes down to making a decision: Why are you upgrading your operating system?--and are you prepared to purchase new equipment/software if not compatible with an updated operating system?

I had multiple problems with Windows 7 and my HP Scanner (part of Mutifunction OfficeJet). I found a lot of work arounds and then decided to go another route. I found several programs through searches via cnet, etc. I opted for "VueScan" to use for my scanning and am now able to get everthing scanned quickly and multipage for my purposes... letter and legal. Some of the programs have trial versions. That may be an option. I think VueScan may have I can't remember. May be worth a try...rather than deal with HP. I know my LaserJet 4250 has never been the same since Windows 7 drivers. You have to find your own way.
