Have you checked gas prices lately?
I had a call for tomorrow just to have a GD signed. 30 miles one way. Offered 50.00 dollars.
But it is just one page.
Yes one page at "prime time" 6PM
It will cost me 10 dollars in just gas.
I charge 50 cents/mile for good customers. So 30.00 in mileage
10.00 for 2 hours of work. Well it was the laugh of the day.
Good luck for all of you doing signings for 85, 90 or even 100.00 dollars.

I didn't notice this morning, but this evening on the way home, everything I saw was over $4.00/gal. This is probably just the beginning, so hold on to your hats...

$3.49 in my neck of the woods.
I always wondered why gas was so much more money in CA, given that there is a refinery up in Martinez.

Re: $3.65 in central PA...
This is one of my all time pet peeves. There is an excess supply of gasoline and demand goes down every month. The oil companies are laughing all the way to their bailed out bank. Their profits are going through the roof and there are no compensating expenses causing increased prices. Our president won't address the situation or use his bully pulpit to encourage lower prices. Our congressmen are on the take from the producers so they're no help. And the Canadian pipeline is a pipe dream as we wouldn't get an ounce of that product....it would be sold on the international market for market price. Wake up folks, the oil companies are unamerican and unpatriotic and don't give a hoot about you and me....only $$$....we are living in a time when only the profit pigs feed at the trough.

$4.17 for diesel on the way home yesterday in Southern California. $3.99 for Prem. Why is diesel more than Prem unleaded?

Recently saw on a news program that oil export from Iran could be completely stopped because of their nuclear activities. If that happens, it can only become more important to have a domestic oil policy in place. I foresee our fuel prices becoming as high or higher than Europe in the next couple years.
But, it's only a couple pages to have signed, so we should be glad to do the favor for $20!!

Re: $3.69 here and I travel a bit to my closings. Wish I
could increase my fees to offset the fuel cost, but most of my clients don't budge on the fee.
