Did you scroll down the entire list. Basic members are at

the bottom. I would encourage you to go the Premier member route if you can.
This is valuable advertising space, and you want to be higher on the list if you expect to get any calls. There are also many extra benefits, including discounts on supplies, etc, not to mention Signing Central & the best forum in the industry. :-)

In your profile set-up, there is a box that, if checked, it hides your profile from searches. Make sure that box is NOT checked.

Did you just now sign up a couple hours ago? I believe it takes a few hours, if not one day, to be listed. I joined over seven years ago and I think it took at least a day to be listed. Of course, technology is move advanced now.

I would very highly suggest a premier membership. This is the best forum for notaries (IMHO) and the supplies cost less for premier members. Not to mention, the service is the best in any industry. For example, I purchased my new notary stamp and received it within three days.

If you're going to run a notary business...

then act like it. You have to spend money to make money, and advertising is not an area to scrimp; it's your first impression with potential clients.

If you expect to have any success in this field, then put yourself where you have a better chance to be seen, get a Premier membership, and write a quality profile. The investment will be returned severalfold if you apply yourself, and the cost is tax-deductible as a business expense.

No-brainer.

Go Roger, Go Roger!!!

You can sign up with as many companies as you want, but if they need someone right this second and come on here to look for you, you're S.O.L. Just because you're in the database doesn't mean you're going to be accessible to them at that moment.

I wouldn't be surprised if they come on here to check a person's profile. Usually those that are serious about this (their) business will have a profile. Plus it gives them an idea of how professional you are. Don't underestimate the power of a very thorough, professional profile.

That should be...

just because you're in THEIR database, not just because you're in the database...

I believe that zip code searches will only return the 25 basic members closest to ground zero of that zip code (which is the post office itself), so if you're in a saturated area your name may not appear unless you live next door to the post office.

If you're doing this to market your services, you should upgrade to Premium Membership - the ROI is usually pretty quick. I'm not one myself only because I no longer do loan signings - I'm basically just here for the camaraderie (and to watch the occasional food fight...).
