I think my email acct's been hacked. The only clue I have
is that I got up this morning to a listing of "Mailer Daemon" undeliverable messages. I didn't send out anything. Anyone have any suggestions?

if you have gmail you can get a 2ndary security feature. It'll text you a code you put in to lg into your email account.
I did that and was getting codes sent when Im not trying to login. So that confirmed someone was accessing my email account. Luckily it was a junk email account and not my primary business one.

Yes, I received an email from you this AM
with no subject in the message line, and the body of the email just had a link. I figured you did not send it - I did not click on it, and deleted it.

Re: Does this mean you won't be sending me...
You have to act fast with this problem I was hacked in Aug and just resolved the problem this is a MSN account, all kinds of problems the biggest was that the hackers changed the security question and subsequentlly the answer. Finally got a rep to work the whole thing out, don't use the "just ask" site they were useless. Here is the number for MSN if that who your account is with - 1-800-494-2962

Yes, confirmed. I've heard of this happening--they've
hacked into my contact list & are using it to send spam. My apologies to everyone!

It appears to be resolved & only required a password
change. Hope this doesn't happen to any of you, but if it does immediately call tech support for your email provider & they will walk you through what needs to be done.

Happened to me too.
When I contacted Yahoo, they couldn't figure it out. There was nothing in my sent folder, but contacts kept getting spam from me (think it was an online pharmacy link). Changed my password about ten times, still kept happening. I just deleted my Yahoo account and kept gmail. Don't want to mess with it.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THOSE EMAILS OR CLICK THE SPAM
button...
When you respond to suspicious emails or even hit the spam button, which indicates that their email was "read" by you, even though you didn't, this lets the hackers know that they hit a legit email...simply hit the delete button, NOT spam.
not sure which email provider you are using, but if you have the ability to change your email settings to indicate that even if you open your email, it will be marked to the sender as "unread"
there's also an email i received about 3 times today on different email addresses that are from the "[e-mail address]"...NOT the actual IRS mind you...again, only hackers doing sum phsing...

This happened to me right after I stayed at a Hotel and used their lobby computer to check my email.
