Lowest of the lowballs

Got a call the other evening from a SS. They had a medical records pick up about 30 miles from me, 60 miles rt. Print about 12 pages, notorize, scan or fax back, return docs UPS. All for the princely sum of...get ready here it comes...TWENTY DOLLARS! As you could imagine, the offer was so low I didn't even counter. They may have been a new company testing the waters for their own pricing but that offer was absurd. Has anyone else experienced similar offers lately?

Looked them up on "who called me." They are N3 notary public of Portland, OR. One star rating. At least they are consistent.

As I was reading your OP, I knew what company it was by the offer alone. IMO, they have worked hard to earn the rating they have here as well as to keep that top spot on the lowest of the low list.

Almost hard to believe these days but Yes - just last week I received a request to travel fifty-two miles one way -- which obviously would be one hundred four - RT> the SS still wouldn't up their fee.
Sounds like it might have been the same company. What gives with these people??.

Yep. $19...don't even know what they wanted, just said "No, thank you". There are a few SS who try to do odd stuff. And there are also companies set up to do odd stuff and, in both cases, the pay is pretty much terribly low and set in stone. Guess they just keep calling until they find some idiot who will do it. As we sadly know, they do find 'em.

Not surprised this is N3 Notary. They have the lowest offers of any SS I've ever heard of. Sad thing is even if you took that ridiculous offer they still would not pay you according their ratings in signing central.

No not sad - but the FEE of $20 is very pathetic to say the

least. I hire np's/nsa's all the time in my area, and offer a very fair for general notary. A fee I, myself would work for, that is.

My experience if they pay low, or below average, you will never get paid period.
