NREIS back to themselves again..

Since they were bought out awhile back, I decided to give them a try again. Word was they were back to paying in 30-40 days. Had a signing for them on 11-29-11 and got lost in their system. After a couple of phone calls I got a promise of payment within a week. What a surprise....no check....made another call to the scheduler and was transferred to the payor who cuts the checks. She stated that everyone is on a 90 day pay basis. Everyone but me, say I.....remove me from your 'sucker list'. Got paid on 2-13-12.

Interesting. I just did a NREIS closing but it was done through Document Express. I will be anxiously waiting to see the time frame on payment through them.. Interestingly when they sent me the confirmation they accidently attached their order and fee from NREIS. It was certainly much more than NREIS was paying notaries directly.

I hadn't heard they were bought out and things were better. I was on their "don't call me!" list before that happened apparently. In January I got a call from the SLS division while on the road and took the job. Once I realized they were NREIS, I called and said "NO WAY NO HOW!" but the scheduler said "No, our SLS division is paid separately. I know NREIS is at 90 days but we pay much quicker than that." Here it is, nearly April and NO CHECK. I called two days ago, and sure enough NREIS handles the payments for SLS. I said "your schedulers are telling notaries differently" and the response was "would you like to talk to the scheduler to find out why they are telling you something different?" Oh yeah, I'm going to go through the phone maze of people to eventually get "I'm sorry but I'm not certain who the scheduler was and I'm sorry you were told that."

IF NREIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CLOSING RUN! I once again told the person "I do not want ANY calls from ANYONE at your building. You wouldn't wait 90 days plus for your paycheck, why would anyone expect me to wait that long?"

NREIS back to themselves & Angi Notary Signing is Booking em

I got a call from Angi Notary Signing the other day and took the booking. Then when I got home to close out the file I saw NERIS at the very bottom of their order. I nearly freaked out and realized that I'd been hood winked!

Anyway, b-e-w-a-r-e that they are still out there running their business on our money. It makes me sick at my stomach that there are companies out there who are still taking advantage of notaries who are the folks in the trenches day and night.

I've but Angi on my "do not work for them" list and I'm going to start putting DO NOT at the end of company names on my cell so when it rings I'll see DO NOT and instantly tell them NO and just say I'm booked. A 1 minute call.

Stay strong and aware is all I know to do!

I've also been waiting since November to be paid for 3 invoices. Have called constantly and faxed paperwork constantly to no avail. NOTARIES BEWARE!!!! Do NOT work for National Real Estate - you have been warned. You will NOT be paid.

I also decided to give them a try again (bad decision). I performed a signing on 12-28 and am still waiting for payment. I get evasive answers to my followups like "you will be paid" and "it's been sent for authorization". Avoid them.
