No notarization page for mortgage?

Has anyone heard of this before? Closing set for today, rescheduled from last night due to docs not available in timely manner. When the scheduler called to tell me docs were coming (LATE), he then asked if I would be available today. I told him I would, but he would need to contact the borrower, the lender, and title to make sure that all parties were OK with rescheduling for today. He calls back, say everything is all set to go today.

As I'm looking through the docs, which BTW came about 30 minutes after the call rescheduling the appointment, I realize that all of the docs are still dated for 2/24--the original closing date. Not a problem as all of my notarizations will reflect the date that the borrowers appeared before me. I will have to change the dates on the RTC, but there are instructions included so not a problem either.

BUT THERE IS NO NOTARIZATION PAGE INCLUDED WITH THE MORTGAGE. Just a signature page for the borrowers. Has anyone experienced this before? Or is this the new thing? I did call the signing service and left them a message basically saying that no notarization page means that in my mind that means I might have to determine whether a jurat or acknowledgement is needed, and I can't do that. Yes, I know most mortgages are acknowledgments, but it's not my job. So we will see.

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Had one of those yesterday

Just had a blank page where normally the acknowledgement would appear. Even had a line for borrowers to initial. I had them initial and did a loose acknowledgement. Guess if it's not right I'll hear from them Monday.

This happens. Just add a notarization acknowledgement and attach to the signature page.

I've seen this in the past (from a lender that I think is no longer around) where they just had a line at the bottom of the signature page that said to please attach notary acknowledgment but no notary page. A few times I saw that on the PUD, also. (Very easy to miss...)
