Notary Stamp Ink Color

How many of you use: Blue, Black, Red, or other color for your official notary seal stamp? Just curious. I know that the State of CA does not care about the color, as long as it is photographically reproducible, but wonder how county recorders react to colors other than blue and black.

in Florida the notary seal must be black. (Fl statutes 117.05 3(a) )

I have always used black, every escrow officer I work with also prefers black, I've seen blue used occasionally, but mostly black.

For my third commission, I switched to purple ink, round stamp. Love it. I still use my small, recatangular stamp (with black ink) if the space is tiny.

I haven't had any complaints .... (yet).

Marian uses purple ink, too. That's where I got the idea.

Purple ink would make it more obvious if you forgot to stamp.

I should have asked, how many are using red ink for Deeds of Trust, Grant Deeds, Interspousal Deeds of Trust, etc. in California?

In OR, we have our choice: black, black, black, or black. n/m
