UPS/Fed Ex airbill, continued.

Re the recent discussion about UPS/FedEx airbills and Linda's suggestion to buy a cheap small typewriter if you don't want to fill them out by hand:

I've occasionaly thought about doing this, but where in the heck can one buy a typewriter these days - cheap or otherwise? Maybe they're all over the place and I haven't noticed ... but seems they've gone the way of the stagecoach. Maybe could pick one up at a thrift store....? Maybe some new modern gadget has "replaced" the typewriter ..?

Also, why can't FedEx (or anybody) have an online system for a person to fill out an airbill without having an account - which I don't want after reading all the horror chargeback stories?

I am sick of handwriting airbills and besides, my handwriting looks pretty bad anymore.

That's how they are guaranteed their money, aren't about to give up that advantage.

Try garage sales, thrift stores, good will, estate auctions and the like.

If the Title company is a repeat and frequent customer /Why not make up labels and put on the shipping forms yes would be 10 labels but cheaper faster than writing out and works for fed ex just have to make sure one on shipper and one on sender parts of label

Don't know for sure, but based on experience (and husband's input, who is employed by FedX) I'm thinking that labels on airbills won't work. Even if you do put one on each sheet of the airbill.
