Got a call about 5:30 p.m. from Los Angeles Area Code:
Q. Gasping: Are you still a notary?
A. Yes
Q. Do you go to (basically) Timbuktoo?
A. It's kinda far out there, but yes.

A. Yes.
Oh, good, well we're going to have a lot of signings in your area (Red Flag), so please go to our Web site and sign up. And since this is so last minute, and so rural and there are no faxbacks (no kidding cos I don't do fax backs for any amount of money) and so this and that, we can go as high as $80!
Me: Speechless.
Whadda they pay when they're not desperate and the signing is not in the boonies? Nothing? Of course, I'm sure they found a fellow notary to get the job done. Good for him/her. They should read Eva25's post below. Message 412125
