Re: waste of time.
they wanted to inform us that Chase is going to make most of their closing in-house and that we will now be going to the banks to do them. So for the borrowers who have been so grateful to not have to take time from work, and/or get a sitter for the kids, too bad. The reason Chase wants to close them in-house? It's so that the LO can interrupt your closing to pitch more products to the borrower (actually said this in the conference call!). Chase is also now going to require FaxBacks the same as BofA. More work, more time, lower fees, non-negoitiable. They used to be my bread-and-butter now I get few calls from them (even though I have this "presferred" status). Why? Because I refuse tolower my fees to the standards.

Re: waste of time.
I have done numerous in-house chase closings for various title companies, in fact just did one on Saturday. Never had an LO interrupted my closings period, for any reason. So I am shocked on that. They do however require fax backs just like BOA. I have not had ServiceLink, SS, or TC's refuse to pay me my additional fee for faxbacks.
I don't mind doing the faxbacks as long as they pay the additional fee I require, it does not effect my paper or toner at all :-)

Chase in-house closings for ServiceLink
EOM Friday, received 1 call at 3:15 asking if I can POSSIBLY accommodate an in-house signing at 4:00 at location 35 minutes-drive away. Sorry, I'm on my way to a 3:30 appointment.
Then, I get a call at 4:30 from them. Is there any humanly way I can possibly help them out with a 5:00 signing. Same location as first call. Sorry, the next available time slot I have is after my 10 pm appointment.
"Okay. Thanks anyway and we'll give you a call next time."
The only signings I had previously done for ServiceLink were e-signings and that was a few months ago. All of a sudden, they call twice in one afternoon for last-minute accommodations. Hope that's not the wave of things to come ........
