Holy cats! What's with the errors?

I've NEVER seen as many errors as I have this week from banks and TC's. I've gone back to re-sign or add docs originally omitted three times this week and turned down two more and have two more scheduled out a few more days. I think that's more second trips than I did in all of last year combined!

Am I just having a good run of bad luck, or have others seen a HUGE uptick in docs coming with errors or missing pages?

I had a couple companies push and tell me that I "missed docs" but thankfully when corrected by myself or a SS/TC that the document was not in the original package (or incorrect) I was quickly assured compensation.

Side note: How come nobody ever apologizes when they've treated you like a fool and then discovered it was their own mistake?

You mean it is not us and we are right sometimes? Why didn't I think of that?

This is a WOMAN asking this question?

***How come nobody ever apologizes when they've treated you like a fool and then discovered it was their own mistake?***

I thought that was in the DNA. Or maybe my exes all just swam in the same gene pool.

you're running with the wrong crowd!

What do you suppose is the proper number of ex wives to determine that you have a representational sampling of women, sufficient enough to paint all other women so caustically?

The way I see it, all your ex wives have one thing in common....you.

Perhaps you neec to take your preference into account. :-)

I can't help but wonder if there's a reason?

I've had a couple times before where there was just a flurry of problems with docs, though nothing like this week. I wish I'd made a note of the time of year. I wonder if it has anything to do with people getting ready to leave for vacations (on the loan and TC side?). I remember I've had groups of several loans from different places that had issues all at once, at least once it was just before the Christmas holiday.

Entirety of notary certification on document yesterday

Date of Notary

I got the first line just fine. The second one stumped me, though. Is it the date I was commissioned? The girl I took to the high school senior prom? My expiration date? -- which, as I age, is getting uncomfortably close.

You see that sort of thing, and then reflect on the 11 pages of instructions we notaries get on how to fill out documents, it hard to decide whether to laugh or cry.

Oh, that's awful!! I saw a funny one this week too

an instruction from a SS "DO NOT NOTARIZE THE NOTE." I've never seen a notarized note in real estate. Why would anyone ever do that? Who are they hiring?? I can't help but wonder how many times they've ever seen that? I hope it was only one renegade idiot and not a frequent error.

In Va we notarize (certify) the note (there is a a couple topics on NotRot about it). I do it all the time. Its just State specific I guess.

Re: Date of Notary

Hugh,

I think they want to know if you have ever had a date with a notary.

And after ALL the notary instructions..one of which is signer must sign exactly as...BO first, middle, last, aka first middle maiden last BY POA first middle last as attorney in fact. Lender is having difficulty getting their software to print all of this on docs...so signing pushed a day so they can "work on it". I have had a lot more aka signings of late.

Lots of rescheduling this week, due to all sorts of problems. It's not like it was in the old days. Now I have to charge higher fees just to compensate for all the extra crap we have to deal with these days. It's enough to drive someone crazy!
