It just astounds me

that an owner of a signing company will call me upset about my personal opinion and experience with their company. Threatening and then bribing me to retract my comments. If you are so worried about losing business how about you focus on your current 2 star rating on SC instead of individual forum posts. I'm not the ONLY notary who has had a less than stellar experience with your company.

The discussion we had may work and scare other notaries into submitting to your wishes but one who is educated in laws, criminal cases and have previously worked and still maintains contact with law enforcement agencies (not to mention best friends with FBI agents) and holds a degree in business law isn't easily swayed. Sorry you feel my personal opinion and experience you can't agree with but facts are facts that can't be disputed nor changed. My advice to you is work on your 2 star rating instead of calling me demanding I retract my post. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

That is your right to rate, or discuss any company you wish, I have a habit of rating all companies, good or bad. It is a good thing to do. And yes I totally agree with you, calling you is totally uncalled for and unprofessional.

This post befuddles me

What possible function does it serve if you do not name the company? Everything said could have been conveyed -- and much more effectively conveyed -- in an email to the company itself. You obviously have already made your position on the company clear in Signing Central; why would you, if you are going to pursue the issue on <this> forum, not give readers the benefit of knowing which company it is? Makes no sense to me at all. If you want to get a message to the company, then get a message to the company. Seems simple enough.

Yeah Hugh, we are too unhip to get it.

You know Hugh, unless it is said on Twitter, Facebook, or a picture on instagram, it never really happened. Now I'll take my leave to finish reading the paper, and give Hugh a call on the rotary dial phone.

She didn't need to name the company......

.......we all knew who she was talking about anyway! Same thing happened to me.......I did a loan for this company back in August of 2011, 90 days and I had still not gotten paid, I posted a thread here on Notary Talk that I was a little concerned that I had not received payment from this company after 90 days and many many phone calls, I received a call from that exact same young lady asking me to retract my post. Nope......not gonna do it! Her time would be more wisely spent making sure payments were getting sent out on a timely basis, rather than sitting here on Notary Rotary searching for negative comments posted about the company she works for and then calling the notary and bullying them into retracting a truthful statement. I told her that my statement was not mean, not rude, I didn't talk bad about her company, I simply asked my fellow peers about their payment history with this particular company. And to make matters worse, it took me another month of trying to collect my money from them. I finally found out who the owners of this company are and wrote them each an e mail and I had my check within four days.......95 days after the loan closed. They have not called me for any closings since that time, and that is fine by me.

Pardon my dense-ness...I had no idea who she

was talking about until she posted the link to her previous message.

So, yeah, it helps to name the company.

I was just joking Linda......there has been so much said

about this particular company on here...and the fact that the exact same thing happened to me....that is why I posted that. Toni got the joke.

Re: She didn't need to name the company......

I kind of agree, but from another perspective. I had a different company come to mind (and perhaps a couple of others). I was doing lots of work for one ss last fall. The owner had some issues about notary no-shows (no, it wasn't Negrete) and called me to ask my opinion. I gave what I thought was honest feedback about the way they were handing certain things. A couple of days later when one of those situations came up with me, I mentioned something about that to the scheduler. Apparently it wasn't received too positively because they completely stopped calling me. Funny thing, my stress level reduced significantly and I made up most of that volume elsewhere.

I would mention the company, except that I don't remember all the details and from previous experience, I suspect this person wouldn't hesitate to respond with personal attacks. I have no desire to get into a pi$$ing match with anyone, which is why I just moved on. Also, others may feel differently about the issue.

This is another key reason why I believe that it's very important that SC ratings remain anonymous. Just my 2 cents.
