JMT, Visalia, CA
Called this morning for a signing this afternoon. She said other notary assigned now has no internet service and she needs to get it assigned. Let her know I am available and my internet is working.
She rushes through her spiel of sending confirmation for $50 plus $25 for e-docs at 4:00 today. WHOA!! I stop her and have her repeat this info. Sorry, my edoc fee is $XXX. She tells me she has to keep calling other notaries and asks if it's ok to call me back if she can't find someone for what they're offering and gets my fee approved. OK with me.
Next!!

This is why I rarely work for them.

LOL!! Don't you love it when they try to speed-talk their way right by that - or worse yet, skip it altogether and hope you won't ask. I'm sure you're not holding your breath waiting to hear back.

Hah! bet that TC is paying way more to JMT. Let's squeeze the SA's wallet.

JMT is the only company I will work for at a discount. Why? Because their jobs are literally half the work of anyone else's. Docs come in plenty of time, borrowers are always well-informed, small package, only 2 or 3 notarizations, one page report/invoice to fax back, and they don't call me 50 times to check on me. I'd rather take a $75 job from them than a $150 job from a lot of other agencies.
