He recently took over this company and is doing
everything himself for now. It doesn't make it right, but just give him a chance. I've worked with him for a couple of years and am confident he will make it right.
I, too, just received a check for two closings I did for him. He called last week to apologize and let me know he was behind but dropping the checks for everyone, which he obviously did!
Don't give up faith...lol

I did end up turning it back to him. I read comments on both sites that offers forums with feedback. Unfortunately the only positive feedback was that he paid a print fee. Other comments were pretty much payment issues. When you are a signing service and new, I am of firm belief you should have the start up capital to pay your people on time. also if I were a new signing service, I would make sure to solicit at least a few positive comments from my closers.
I actually asked him what I would find on NR and that I was going to check. I think if he had told me about the payment issue comments (which I'm sure he knew) he should have come clean and at least told me about them. At that point I probably would have worked with him due to the honesty. There's a reason I have no invoices that are outstanding over 30 days.
Of course I gave him the paypal option, but never heard back from my email. If people are having positive dealings with him they should report that as well. But in this case, the negative far outweighed the positives. hopefully he can get back on track

He called me too on Thursday, looking to book a job for today. He didn't even give the name of his company, but intruduced himself by his own name and said he had left National Vendor Solutions, wanting to make a fresh start and hopefully leave behind any issues that notaries had with that company (I'm paraphrasing here.) I don't know what issues he is talking about with NVS. They had very large packages for what they were willing to pay, but I never had payment issues with them when I used to accept jobs from them.
In any case, I was already booked and the converstaion ended there. I would have turned the job down too, based on the reviews here on NotRot.

They called me again today - this time from a blocked number. It showed up as "unavailable" on my caller ID. Too many red flags for me. At least this time the girl who called identified the name and location of the company.

I just spoke with Boston National Title. They informed me that Aurelio Ortiz has not paid out their invoices for notaries and probably wont. They also said they are trying to do the right thing and get the notaries compensated even if they have to pay twice. Very nice and helpful.
Aurelio Ortiz is NOT PAYING

I hope that just as people are posting on the negatives...
which is what this site is for...that once he gets in the groove and back on track, people will also post good things. It really sucks that he didn't start off on the right foot-first impressions make lasting impressions-because now it's going to be harder for him to establish a good reputation.
"...also if I were a new signing service, I would make sure to solicit at least a few positive comments from my closers."
I absolutely agree James. However, I remember a couple of years ago someone came on here and SLAMMED Jim from Trans State for doing just that. He would include a note with payment asking you to post a review on these sites. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. I know I forget and/or probably wouldn't get to it, so the reminder was perfect. I don't think it's a bad thing for someone to ask you to post a review. After all, a sleazy company will certainly not encourage you to do so!
I personally put a note in my email signature block, "Please feel free to write a review if you are so inclined" , I then put the web address that will take them into my personal ad at the "numbers site."
Maybe that's something that could be offered here. A way to get people to add reviews about us and our performance.

I did receive my payment for services in the mail yesterday..took about 45 days. Aurelio did answer all my calls and return my emails throughout the process.

I accepted a signing on 5/4 from Aurelio Ortiz. Took his word on Net 30. I'm still not paid and he lies constantly telling me the check is in the mail and then two weeks later it not. In seven years I've never been stiffed, but this might be the first one.

Just received payment on 7/24 for a 5/3 closing. After many emails and unthruths about sending payment, I finally contacted Boston National Title and complained about Precision. Boston National Title seems to be at fault too by paying Precision Signing late and it has a trickle down affect to all of us. It got me a phone call from Aurelio Ortiz (owner of Precision Signing Service in Orlando). He sounds nice on the phone, but has never been truthful when he says he mailed a check. I insisted he send me payment on PayPal, which he did on the day I complained to Boston National Title. Almost 90 days, so watch out!
