AFA Title

This comapny only has 2.5 stars in signing central, but most of the current comments are good. A search yeilded mixed reviews of a history of non payment issues, followed by a new payment policy in which people state they are now getting paid by this company upon funding. The last thread I read was from March of 2012. Does anyone have anything a little more current to show that this company is still paying in a timely manner? TIA!

This company is one of my primary clients since they started paying upon funding and I have been told #1 on their call list for my area. They pay my fee without quibble. I do not have problems getting paid and find everyone a pleasure to work with. You have to email your invoice with bullet points to a specific email in order to be paid. The invoice doesn't go with the return package.

My experience with them has been that they go back on forth with payment issues. They pay timely for a while, and then it's back to having to go after them for payment. If memory serves me correctly, they used to want one invoice submitted monthly. I'm not sure if that's still the policy.

I have a 1 year 7 month history with this company. About a year ago, they went through a bout of payment problems. Over the past 6 months, I don't think I've had anything hit 21 days before I got payment.

I really LOVE working with them. Even when they were slow before, I knew my check was coming. I think they had some staffing changes (for the better).

I do several closings a week (sometimes several in a day) for American Freedom Assurance/AFA and I really enjoy working with them.

They don't shop my rates, they don't argue my fees, their assignments and documents are clear (always verify signing addresses, because those do come through incorrectly fairly frequently), but overall, a favorite of mine to work with.
