Certified Copies of POA
Good morning,
I’ve been asked to Certified 5 copies of a POA for a client and trying to determine what is an appropriate fee for that service. If you’ve performed this service would you please share with me your fee schedule?
I’m thinking…. Because there is no notarization required it would be an hourly rate plus travel what are your thoughts. Thanks for your comments in advance.
Have a Blessed Day!
Bernice

Have you tried reading your state manual? I think the answer is probably there.

I'm sorry - I see you have been answered....but, I also see
that you may not have a manual. You should get one, print it out and keep it with you for constant reference. It is not like you just got your - license? is that what you would call it? - recently. Before your do another notary, why don't you print it? and read.

Thank you all for your comments.... yes I do have a Manual and did look up the language but did not look to see what the fee for the service is. Upon further review I see that is is $10 per copy.
Have a Wonderful Day!

It's *up to* $10.00 per copy certification...
You can charge less per certification. You just can't charge more than $10.00. That's a significant distinction a lot of people forget about.
BTW... you still have to have 5 journal entries, too. You're not IDing anyone in this case, but it is a notarial act so you need to record it 5 times. It would probably be good if you recorded the information about the person making the request and even got their signature, but it isn't mandatory.
