I suspect you'll find it the same as title xfer for a car

Not sure your state or the rules there, but the forms here in WA for title transfer of a vehicle are pretty straightforward.

As a lawyer I saw plenty of "close friend" deals end in hostility and enmity and came to learn that the ONLY way to work with friends is to keep all business very formal and make sure every detail is logged, including all info you'd normally get from stranger re ID...so when things blow up later you can't be accused of any wrong-doing.
