Page Seperator Software

Hey Guys,

I saw Kathy Fetchers thread back at the beginning of the week on this software called "Page Separator" I was kind of disheartened by the response she was getting from some people, and it caused me to almost not take a look at it.

Kathy, I wanted to thank you for bringing this program to the groups attention. I am completely mobile and have a fantastic Canon D480 that prints and scans, and fits perfectly in the back of my 4runner along with 2 supply bins and my 1000w inverter. Its a front loader with a single cassette that is "NOT" expandable to a second tray. I have an HP2015 with dual tray that has about the worst drivers I have seen.

This software is GREAT. Its separates in a matter of seconds. I purchased the "Pro" addition to give me a print out of the page order. It will definitely pay for itself in saved paper within 2 months hands down.

People who know me will attest I do not have any financial interest in this software. I just did not see a viable review of this program in any of the posts. All I saw was people touting their dual tray printers and how cheap it is to own one.

So if you don't want to get rid of you're single tray printer, this software is a must have.

With that I'm done. Smile

JLee

I think the main issue I have is that this software if being pushed by the same people that own Flex Closing... and $70 is a steep price to pay for the pro version of software that does the same thing you can do yourself.

It just seems odd because they're pushing people to buy it and aren't being very transparent about the fact that they're selling it to you.

My mistake $40-60, not $70. Bu I still feel the same. Smile

I'm thinking of buying this, Marian. Can you explain what you mean?

I must be dense..I know I'm missing something here

If being used on a single-tray printer, how does this software separate pages and still keep the docs in the order received? I just don't see how it can do that..and that's one important thing I've had told to me by many companies - please the docs signed and returned in the order sent.

I know I'm exhausted today - maybe I'm just missing something.

I don't have a dog in this page separator hunt, though I think I'll probably buy the software, but the above comment caught my eye.

I've been in this business for 10 years now, since my retirement in 2002. The great majority of the time I wll pull out four significant docs -- the HUD, note, TIL and RTC -- to present to the borrower up front. I do not return them to the stack order in which I received the packet. I have never had a TC or lender complain to me in any of the thousands of closings I have conducted. Never.

There appears to be some hostility toward this software; it has manifested itself from the very beginning of this thread, and in the previous thread, and I'm not sure why. Is there some thought that it is a ripoff, or a product that doesn't work?

I have two HP printers that I really like, and a third one that I hope will be the very first thing that will go if I ever have a fire. That printer will take a second tray, and there's no way I'm going to invest in it. The others won't, and if the page separator software will give me a capability that I do not now have, I want to use it. So can someone please clue me in on why there is an undercurret to some of the posts?

I apologize if you took my remarks as showing

hostility Hugh - I was serious in my questioning for the purposes I stated - no hostility meant at all...

And for the record, I show these docs first - HUD, Note, First Payment Letter - I tell them the note is secured by a mortgage (here in FL) and, if applicable, I let them know they have 3 days to cancel and we'll be getting to those forms later - I flag the HUD, Note and FPL, flip to them, show them, close package..they stay in the same order received. I don't show the mortgage, TIL or RTC up front because IMO and IME they won't have a bearing on the outcome of the signing - the numbers, the interest rate and note terms and the FPL do...

"please the docs signed and returned in the order sent."

I never returned the docs in the order they were sent because I always stacked them the way I wanted to present them. I never had a complaint.

Yes, Please clarify

I am a independent signing agent like everyone else on this board. I took Kathy Fletcher s post..followed it, liked what I saw on the presentation videos on you tube..Decided to buy it,use it for a week and report my findings since I have not seen any experience with it posted at length. Just like we do with signing services, I gave my feedback to help others.

As far as transparency..Where do you see that? Who is Flex anyway? Not trying to be confrontational, but I don't see what your talking about.

Flex is requiring their notaries to have this software and it is being sold on their website...

Flex Closings? No thanks, I'll pass

James, they are listed on Signing Central. This is a company that, when first started, touted themselves as one of the quickest paying companies out there. But on April 1 of this year they changed their policy from paying within 30 days to paying 45 days out. That plus the low fees and what appeared to be new staff working the phones who didn't know what they were doing was the last straw for me.

Thanks, James. I never considered it as an application

for printing mobile. We all need to choose what works best for us. :-)
