Starting to volume on HARP loans

Half of my deals in last two weeks have been HARP deals.

Wow! See how it works? I just started to slow down

this week. I have nothing for today (I think I may have turned down one or two because my car had to go in for maintenance) but I only have one scheduled for tomorrow.

I only have ONE for next week!!!! VERY unusual. I usually have many more by this time!!

I will miss out most of next week, taking the family for a getaway for the holiday. I took one for the day we leave (Quicken) already have docs. I missed a couple for yesterday but took the family out for the day.

Been a decent week will be busy today through Monday.

We should see a lot of those from now through the remainder

of the year. I have one in process myself. I'm interested to see how it will play out.

I looked into it for myself, 100k upside down. My loan is not owned by Fannie or Freddie so I'm SOL only saving grace I have a 4% fix rate.

Almost all HARPS people get back less then 100 bucks, may even need to write a check and I see a ton of lender credits. Settlement cost are very low under 1K on most.

I don't know about any of that. This will end up almost

like a traditional refi. The only thing is that there is no LTV cap in Harp 2. Like a lot of folks, my equity bit the dust. Since my loan was conventional to start with it didn't give me any options. Current lender had sold the loan to Fannie, so I do qualify under the Harp. I still need all the qualifying documentation, appraisial, etc. I know how difficult the process has become, so I'm still just waiting for the final outcome.

seems to avg 2-3 months for the HARP deals, I've been asking how long to come to table and most deals this month are a couple of months in the making.
