Why I love working directly with TCs....

TC calls needs something done in an emergency. (I've had a few of those lately!) They don't have the time to farm it out to a SS. The lady that called said a manager in her office gave her my card and said, "Call this lady, pay her whatever she wants. It will get done."

No pressure there! Given all the circumstances involved (quite a bit of travel, etc.) I tell them my fee... which is rather high (well over $200) because of what they need. They don't even stutter, say, "You got it. Send your invoice back with the docs and add about 5 of your cards, too, please."

No faxbacks, no fuss. Just get it done. Settlement date is 6\6. My invoice has a due date of 30 days (my usual).

Got check three days later, dated 6/7... with a HANDWRITTEN thank you note of all things.

Bless them. There really are good, honest companies out there still. But also... it shows that title and escrow officers really DO pay attention.

I know that SSs (the good ones anyway) do play a role... but I gotta tell you, the best experiences I've had (save maybe one) all involve a direct relationship and I wish more of them could do it.

SWEET!! And hopefully, at some point this same TC will save itself from emergencies and just start calling you from the get go.

Very sweet... I never did find out who it was that originally had my card. But to me, that's telling... people really do pay attention! I'll take those kinds of emergencies any day.

This is wonderful news!! Do you happen to know how they had your card? Is it through marketing or do you attach your card to doc's being sent back to the TC's that hire you? Congrats, again!!
