no pay for reprint

I printed documents today at 10am for a signing at 2pm. Doc Pros just called to advise me that new documents would be coming and all documents would have to be reprinted and NO there will not be a print fee paid for the original documents. They say it is there policy to not pay a reprint fee if the notary did not advise them that they were printing the documents.

They just sent an email retraction. They will pay the print fee for the original documents as they had advised to print.

That sounds more like it

It only makes sense that a SS/TC would want docs printed immediately. What would happen if you waited until the last minute and there was a printing problem? That would be a real dilemma wouldn't it? It also allows you to get familiar with the docs and prep them... Anyhow glad they straightened it out for you. Smile

Depending on the SS I generally send a "All docs printed" email for cases like this. It's not your fault that docs need to be reprinted and they should understand that. This company would be off my list if it were me.

I notify SS/TC when appointment is confirmed and that I will be printing (as soon as docs are received).

DocPros has a general policy where they ask you not to print docs until the appointment has been confirmed.
I don't have a problem with this at all and they have always been reasonable if there are special circumstances as long as I communicate with them.
