proposed changes to PA legislation and notaries

Some of the proposed changes in HB2275 requiring a journal, requiring education (3 hour course) within 6 months after application or renewal, setting fees, and setting other qualifications. This legislation passed the House and is on the way to the Senate for their consideration. Also noted in the article was that these changes were a collaboration between several groups, the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries being one of them. Interesting to see that the big national notary group who is supposed to be advocates of notaries wasn't mentioned.

This appears to be a proposal for PA to adopt the Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts.
