Directclosers.Com

I recently got an e-mail from DirectClosers.com. I tried to research them but I could not get any review on them. Their system is supposed to put you in direct contact with the the Title Companies and thus, cutting out the SCs. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten this e-mail and should I put any value to their claims?

I've not heard of that company and have obviously not received the email. For what it is worth, most title comanies that use signing services prefer to operate in that manner. Rather than spending time searching for and communicating with Notaries Public, many TCs just pay the SS to do that. If you sign up for the info, don't be surprised if you contact TCs and often get told to just contact their signing service. Of course, there are substantial TCs that do deal directly with the NPs, and many are already identified in this site's Signing Central. If you sign up, please let our fellow members know of your satisfation, or otherwise. Good luck.

Most likely they got your name from another notary database.

I am thinking that they got it from the coffee site. My sister who is NOT even a notary is in the directclosers database also and I kknow that I signed her up for the coffee companies web site a long long time ago cause she was thinking about becoming a notary.

I did get the email from this company. I'm also in the cafe's database so maybe you're right about how they got our info. I saw no harm in updating my profile. Its just the same info I have in the other DBs. Updating my profile seemed pretty basic. No unusual questions. I'm sure the TCs or the borrowers save $$ if there is no SS taking a cut..the SSs usually get about $50 an order right? Anyone get a gig from using this company yet?
