Help......I can't download my email attachments.
It just started this morning.....I can't open any of my pdf files that come attached to my y mail account. I thought it might be my computer so I pulled out my old computer and they won't open on that one either. So I just assumed it was y mail. I opened up a g mail account and forwarded the e mails to that e mail address and they opened up just fine and I was able to print and head out for my closings. I called a girlfriend and she was able to open up the attachments from her computer though. So now I don't know what the problem seems to be. And now whenever I start my internet, two google pop up screens open up besides my yahoo home page. How do I get my e mails to open up in my y mail account, and how do I make those google pop up windows go away out of my menu bar at the top of my screen?
Please help.....thank you.

Have you tried download and saving to desktop or a preferred location and then open the document after download?
I would also try to download the latest version of Adobe reader. Don't forget to re-start your computer as a lot of issues can be resolved by re-starting your system.
to remove the programs go to control panel and go to add/ remove programs and remove the Google pop up.
Another thing you can do is on your internet explorer go to manage add-ons and disable the Google apps from there.
Hope this helps. Sometimes this kind of things might get a bit complicated, and it would be best if you ask someone that has experience in IT to take care of this for you.
You can also try Google for an answer or you tube.

Re: Help......I can't download my email attachments. FoxIt
A friend of mine has used FoxIt for a long time, but recently had serious problems with it and had to remove it. I didn't keep the email so can't provide details.

Need a little more info. When you say you can't open any pdf files attached to your ymail messages, do you mean you can't open them while reading the email, or you can't open them after saving them to your computer? Those are two different issues, and it's not clear which one you have.
Also, the two Google screens that pop up when you start your internet - can you be more specific? Like, what do the pop-ups say? When you say "start my internet", I'm guessing you mean start your internet browser (unless you're on a dial-up, "your internet" is there when your computer is on). Which browser do you use, and which version of that browser (to find that, click the Help menu on the browser and then select About)? The fact that whatever you're doing works fine for your friend doesn't necessarily mean anything if the two of you are using different browsers.
And for those suggesting it's a problem with Adobe Reader - maybe, maybe not. There are two ways to open a pdf file from a browser. One is to open it from WITHIN the browser, usually in a separate window; the other is for the browser to launch Adobe Reader externally as a separate program - in this case, the browser hands off the file to Reader and says "here, you deal with it". The second way is safer for a few reasons, not the least of which is that it removes any possible problems with the browser displaying or opening pdf files. How you change this depends on which browser (and browser version) you have.

I can't open them while reading the email. The adobe attachments that are being sent from the title company showing my order and my closing docs. I click on the little square box or boxes located at the bottom of the body of my e mail and nothing happens. I also click on the little rectangular box that says download all and nothing happens. I even clicked on the little paperclip that shows there are attachments and still nothing happens.
The two google screens that pop up when I start my internet - they are up in the bar at the top of my computer screen. It shows my yahoo home page and it also has two google tabs that have opened up two google pages. I uninstalled google out of the programs, shut down the computer, started it back up again....and they are still there. I have Internet Explorer 9.
Thank you. I hope you can help me.

I'm still not sure what's going on with the Google pop-ups, but that's another issue.
Try this - right-click on the attachment. A menu should pop up, and one of the choices should be something like "Save file as.." (sorry I can't give you the specific wording, but I don't use IE9).
Select that option, and you should then be asked where you want to save it - either save it to your desktop or to a folder you can easily find later (DO NOT ACCEPT THE LOCATION THE BROWSER AUTOMATICALLY RECOMMENDS unless you know where that is - you'll have a really hard time finding the file if you don't know where it's going).
Once it's saved to your computer, you should be able to open it with Reader.

It's often a challenge to use plain text in a forum like this to write about an interactive visual experience in Windows. It helps to use the right words, which takes experience because it's often hard to figure out the right name for some visual feature in Windows. So I'll try to recap using the right words.
You start your computer by pushing the power button. When it's ready, you start a program, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), which is a web browser. That is a window, which might take up the whole screen, or only part of the screen. If you look in the upper right corner of the IE9 window, you will see three little boxes, an underscore, a single or double square, and an X. If you see a single box, you are NOT in full screen mode, and clicking the single box will change to full screen mode If you see a double box, you ARE in full screen mode and clicking the double-box changes to part-screen mode.
At near the top of your IE9 window you see three tabs, Yahoo!, and two Google tabs. You probably clicked the little Xs in the Google tabs and they went away. That isn't uninstalling, that's closing a tab. Uninstalling a program erases the program from your hard disk. Since the Google tabs are only connections to websites, not programs, they were never installed, and so can't be uninstalled.
IE9 lets you have more than one home page, which is the page that shows up when you first start Internet Explorer. Each home page is in a separate tab. To see what your home page(s) is(are), look at the upper right corner of the IE9 window, on the second row of stuff. You will see a little house, a star, and a gear. Click the gear, and a grey menu appears. Click "Internet options". At the top of the window that appears will be "Home page" with a white box where your home page(s) are listed. Click in the white box, use the arrow buttons to move the cursor around, and use the backspace key to erase the home pages you don't want. Then at the bottom of the new window, click OK.
Let us know how it works out; IE9 is complicated and this isn't the only possible reason you might have 3 tabs when you start.
