I keep getting an annoying pop-up...
...urging me to download Explorer. I haven't done so, because I am satisfied with what I have, and also because I just really hate to have to relearn all that darned technology. I much prefer the times when things moved at an easier pace, like before the discovery of gunpowder and the printing press.
Has anybody who downloaded Ex8 encountered any problems, and is it substantially different from what I'm using now, which is Columbus1492?

Have no clue what version of IE I'm using...but if you are happy, let it be. Whatever you do...never, ever for any reason allow the Bing Toolbar in. It is worse than a virus and there seems to be absolutely no way to get rid of it short of destroying your computer.

That doesn't work
and neither does any of the 150 other things I've found on the net. Bing is an albatross. No, it's not in Program files. No, you can't simply uncheck it. No, you can't.... can't.... can't... GET RID OF IT.

Hve you checked your registry? Many PITA things like this have code written that no matter how many times your wipe it out, it will come back. I bet if you look in your registry, you will find it there.
