Looking for Hard Cover Journal Supplier

My local supplier has stopped making the decorator hard cover journal available. I have been getting ones with leopard print, Antique American Flag. tulips, etc...just out of the ordinary pretty covers. Has anyone out there seen a supplier who carries these? They cost a little more but they are real nice...

When I was new, I bought the journals with pretty covers...

Now, what matters is the bottom line. The softcover journals from NotRot are very durable and utilitarian. I love them!

I had a thought. Is there any reason a journal couldn't be kept with pages in a loose-leaf notebook?
I don't know of any laws that say specifically what kind of journal needs to be kept. Did I miss something?

I think that some states require them to be bound.

Although Florida does not require a journal

it is addressed in our manual:

"We recommend that your journal be bound (not loose-leaf) and have consecutively numbered pages, so that a page could not be removed without being detected"

That is correct - at least in Massachusetts a bound journal is required by the Governor's
Executive Order.

Re: When I was new, I bought the journals with pretty covers...

A journal must be bound so that things can't mysteriously disappear without a trace.
But there is no reason, other than convenience, that you couldn't use any bound notebook...like the composition books for school, for example. But you'd be missing a lot of notary bells and whistles that way. No format to 'em.

Loose leaf opens up questionability to the authenticity of the journal. One just might switch pages out.

Is the journal from this site the cleanprint journal (uses inkless thumbprint pad)??
