Looking for a couple of San Diego Notaries
I'm looking for a couple of notaries in the Downtown/Mission Valley area who would like to do some GNW during the day. I have a couple of people I've routinely referred work to and they are either no longer notaries or are busy with their own business. I am currently working full time and going to school 2 nights a week for my paralegal degree. My husband was completing GNW for me during the day but was hospitalized in late January. He's out of the hospital, but really isn't able to handle notary assignments at this time.
Through the paralegal classes I'm taking, I've been contacted by legal assistants working in law firms looking for a notary. Since I can't send my husband out anymore I would like to have a backup notary for these types of assignments. FYI... Barbara Linker is the primary person I send referrals to.
I realize many of the experienced people in my area don't have time to do some of this general notary work. With that being said, I am willing to work with a newbie, a newbie who I think is on the ball and reliable. If you're interested, please PM me. Please note, you will be interviewed, I will just not pass referrals onto you. My reputation means a great deal to me and I am not willing to risk it.

Cool Maggie...we can never be too careful so I absolutely
agree about the importance of referring someone. That's why I find it difficult to refer. I feel like it's a reflection on me.
I would want to be sure that someone's integrity, professionalism and knowledge is comparable to how I like to think I, myself, am. I hold a high standard for myself and would expect the same for anyone else I stand behind and refer.
I don't mean to sound egotistical, arrogant or better than. But it is what it is...just sayin (for ME)

From one "Jersey girl" to another... Ditto!
My reputation means a great deal to me. I've been a NSA in San Diego since March 2005 and have done very well. I was a legal secretary in New Jersey and really miss working for law firms. I'm one of the top students in my paralegal classes and enjoy helping others in my classes. People know what I'm doing and that is why I'm getting these phone calls for the GNW from the firms my classmates are working for. I'm not about to blow it by referring anyone.
Where in Jersey are you? I grew up in Clifton, NJ and moved to Jefferson Twp after I got marred. I've been in San Diego for 22 years now, but Jersey is still 'home.'
I distain the way the media continues to tarnish the Garden State and my beautiful Jersey Shore with TV shows like The Jersey Shore... HBOs Sopranos, that was okay, but Snookie (heavy sigh) LOL

LMAO "HBOs Sopranos, that was okay..."
Of course it was okay, that's because they were from Nutley and it filmed in Belleville, two towns over from Clifton...admit it...lol You know where Bada Bing was filmed right? At "Satin Dolls" on Rt 17S by the Hasbrouck Heights exit (not far from Hackensack Hospital.) That wasn't a film set, that was a real "Gentlemen's Club."
What's really sad, and I'm sorry to say, is that the "Jersey Shore" depicts the "Guido's" from this area...lol
I'm a couple of towns over from you but in Bergen County. Have only lived here 19 or so years. But I LOVE the NYC Metro area. Hate the winters, but love living 8 miles outside of Manhattan.
Anyway, I've been pretty busy the past few months. It seems like the business is cyclical. When it's busy in this area, it's slow in other areas of country and vice versa. That even goes for our area. When it's busy up here in North Jersey, it slows down in West and South Jersey. I've seen the trend.
So those of you that aren't that busy, no worries, I'm confident it'll pick up for you soon!
Everyone have a great weekend.
Warmly, Cheryl

Hi, MM~
Wish I could help you out but I'm too far away. When you need someone reliable in North County, please keep me in mind. A good resource for anyone looking for an expert notary in CA is our Network's web site: www.californiamobilenotarynetwork.com

There's a difference between referring someone and recommending someone.
If you are just referencing a notary for general notary work to these law practices, you are basically just directing them to a source.
If you are recommending a notary, then you are speaking in their favor and with a high regard.

Good point Jan
I'm looking to recommend a notary. I do "refer" callers to NotaryRotary and a couple of other listing web sites, but what I'm really looking for right now are a couple of people to recommend because I'm being asked specifically to provide contact information for a notary or notaries who I trust and would have notarize documents for me.

... a joint effort, maybe?? ....
We work well together Myra, and we will continue to recommend each other until one or both of us is no longer available. I'll be here for you until we move to AZ and heaven only knows when that will be.... house has been on the market since last July! Short sales are killing the market.
So... in relation to your post, I will also be looking for recommendations to give my client base when we move to AZ.... you, of course, being my main person. Maybe we can make this a joint effort.
I hope your husband is doing better, and I wish you the best on your paralegal degree. I've thought about that but then don't know what I'd do with it. May look into real estate in AZ in conjunction with my notary/signing business.
