Servicelink, I need help getting through to them
Does anyone have suggestion how I can get through to SL. I have problems sending invoices thru link, so I used the e-invoice. When I click on submit the page stays. I have left messages at vendor management and do not get response. Help

Try the following:
[e-mail address] ... vendor billing ... 888-414-6616 x 61371 or [e-mail address] ... vendor management ... 888-414-6616 x 61645
They were recently very helpful to me.

Glad to see I am not the only one having a problem with their "e" system . They keep changing the invoicing rules without telling anyone?

That's funny, they just called asking if they could put me
in their database as they are going to be having upcoming closings in my area.
When I asked what their pay fee, schedule and structure was the guy stammered a little bit and tried beating around the bush, about that time I had a title company call in so I asked him to hold because a title company was calling.
When I switched back over I said, okay, so what's the bottom line? What is the fee that you pay your notaries?
He said well, we have a couple of different ones for different type signings. We have a $55 with $15, or a $40 with...I said, thank you so much for calling me, but I will not work for anything close to those lowball fees.
Have a nice day..just sayin. I get 15-20 a week for $xxx a closing, so those of you who want to work for those fees, have it. I'll save my paper, toner, gas, maintenance on my car, etc. etc. etc. and STILL make double what you're making.
Of course, who knows what will happen in the future. I certainly don't want to get TOO arrogant, but come on, really???? If they're cold calling, I am going to assume, they are looking for quality notaries in my area because they have inexperienced low quality ones now or because we know our worth and won't stand for any less..tee hee just kidding!

Re: That's funny, they just called asking if they could put me
They have been very fair w/me. Like any SS you need to develop a relationship. I do not do closing for $40 for anything. All I can say, put your amount out to them, they will take it or leave it but don't cut yourself short.

Re: That's funny, they just called asking if they could put me
Actually, Cheryl, they meet my fee ... every time. They already have my fee schedule and only call when they can meet it and it certainly isn't anywhere near $50-$75 a signing.
Maybe the guy who called you wasn't familiar with their system of signing up with their vendor management. Maybe when they cold-call notaries is when they offer those terribly low fees and cross their fingers hoping someone will accept. Don't know. Have only worked with them for $XXX.

If it don't apply, let it fly. If the shoe fits, wear it.
If it doesn't, don't put it on. My grandfather taught me so many cliches! But they ALL make sense! lol.
It's been discussed here at length that SL has gone way down in pay. I've heard they used to be awesome at one time but they've become lowballers. It's also been discussed that it can be a daunting procedure to get paid by them.
If I already get 15-20 closings a week at $XXX why would I waste the time slot when I'll only be used in their desperation of having to pay me my fee, and THEN having to deal with trying to get paid?
I'm not that desperate (Y.E.T. ...I don't think I'm above "Y.our'e E.ligible T.oo"...speaking for myself that is.) Additionally, I don't want to keep lowballers in business. Bottom line for me.
More power to you Yoli and whoever else that gets paid a decent fee. Not sure how long you've worked for them, but if it's working for ya, you GO!!!

They called me recently, too. Thanks to all of you who have posted about how lowballing they are and the problems with invoicing, I declined to be put in their database. Dodged several bullets that day.

Michelle Chapes <[e-mail address]> 888-381-7381 X23872 (EST) Her titles are; Account Executive, Vendor Management, & Recruiting
& she is helpful and will actually speak to you on the phone and or check to see if your invoices made it into their system....very helpful with this so far.
I've found that you have to do (3) things to get the invoice to work and they cut checks "every Friday" so it's a good company to work for in my opinion. They ask for fax backs on investment property loans which can be a pain and they won't pay for them and don't care that we like it or not. Too big to fail?

Re: Thanks for the info, just left a msg for Michelle
Eve, they have two different invoicing options now. One is online for orders that begin with 1. The other option is billing by invoice for all signings beginning with 2 or 3 and that invoice is done monthly and can be emailed or faxed.
Another contact: [e-mail address]
Servicelink is a great company. I get many signings from them each month, always for my fee (100 or above) and have been paid on time from them for the last seven years.
