US Postal Service. Beware. Company had me send docs
back by USPS. They sent a prepaid label. Put docs in, put a piece of clear pkg'ing tape over the seal and the post office charged me 40cents because I did that. We are NOT allowed to do anything to the envelope or its costs more. What??? I was livid, but paid the 40cents. I do this on all Fed Ex, UPS envelopes. I don't trust the sticky part on the envelope. How many others do this?

The only time I do that is if it's a really big package and it seems as if it might open up. That is very rare for me.

If on those rare occasions I would use USPS, I take it to the window and ask them to add any needed tape and I get the name of the counter clerk just in case of a problem if they dont add the tape. It works for me.

I use a pak as well if they don't fit, but I also use clear tape. If I need to use USPS I guess I will now ask them to tape it if necessary and write down name of clerk. Thanks for the good advice!
