Virginia note and strange notary certification
Forgive me if this topic has been covered before. I have some vague recollection that it might have been.
I just closed on a Virginia property. The note carries a notarial certification declaring that it is the same note referenced in the Deed of Trust. No other certification: No acknowledgment, no "sworn to and subscribed," etc.
I've told the title company that I won't certify content of one document in another document. Anybody, especially Virginia practitioners, have any wisdom to offer?

Has it ever been covered! What did the title company say? And would it be too much to ask which TC it was even if by PM if need be. Thanks.

Ok I had to look at loan I did to understand what you are talking about. So what I see on the Note is "This is to certify that this is the Note described in and secured by a Deed of Trust dated _______________________ on the property located in _____________________, Virginia."
yes I notarize this and put in the date the Deed is dated and where the property is located, usually just the county its located in.

We are beaters and abusers of topics.
Hugh and I have beat every single topic to death, pulverized it and restored it to life only to beat it again. That is the nature of this board! I was going to say, "Your youthfulness breeds impatience!" but decided not to.

I don't mean to be snotty, Robert...
...but I think grammatically, it is "AAAARRRRGGGG!," not "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH." You have to get the gutteral "GGGGGG" in there; otherwise, it sounds like you have just reached the apex of a world-class, sensuous massage.
Or, for some on this board, have just found new fodder for identifying people as Dirty Olde Reprobates.
