I have one of those for the past 6-7 years and it's now at >150K pages. It is on it's 3rd drum that I bought on amazon for 18.00 dollars shipped. And I have a single cartridge that I have refilled 15 TIMES!! Printed pages are real deep black.
Some people don't like Brother printers. I have a total of 6 in my office connected to 2 computers plus 2 all in one.

Re: Calnotary = Toner?
I also have 2 hl5140 Brother printers along with 2 hp 4000 printers that I put new rollers in. All 4 work great... I have 1 brother and 1 hp hooked to a desk top computer and the other 2 hooked to a laptop... That way I never have a print problem.... I also refill my toner.. I get mine from Great Toners at Amazon.com....
Calnotary, you stated in your post that printed pages are real deep black....... Can you buy toner in different grades of black????? Who do you get your toner from????

Re: Calnotary = Toner?
I don't know if there is such of thing, but I have purchased toner from different stores and not all toner gives you the same deep blacks I get from Toner King from ebay. I think their toner is very specific to the brand and model number. I have this brother printer that I want to kill with lots of printing but "she" doesn't quit. Like I said in my previous post I have a single cartridge that I have refilled 15 times and refuses to quit. Thanks.
