Armour Settlement - Jessica Savage

I have completed several for her. Got the docs signed and mailed the same day. Always keep her informed of everything. Each time it takes 4 to 6 months to get my money. This is no a good working relationship. I have called her 6 times and she will not answer. Sent invoice 4 times and no reply. Now I am ready to get Attorney involved. If she has no more respect and honor than to treat people like then I don"t need to work with her or the company.

Do a search for Armour; there are several very recent posts about those who got paid and those, like you, who will never work with her again. Maybe connect with the ones who got paid and see if they can give you any hints. There's also an e-mail address in one of the posts for another Armour person (Matt?) you can try.

It's a mystery why some companies pay some notaries and couldn't care less about others. There was a recent post here about cfacts, and pretty much everybody chirped about how great they are with paying. I have ALWAYS had to chase my $$ from them. I fax in my invoice per instructions, as well as e-mail to the person they name, but as of now they owe me $400 from months ago. This is the usual MO with them. They always pay when I finally rattle their tree (kind of like DocPros whom I also stopped working with over this exact issue). Still, as nice as cfacts is to deal with, every time I get a call from them I know I'm going to have to jump through hoops to get a check 6 months later. After several years of this, I'm done, too. Good luck with Jessica.

"It's a mystery why some companies pay some notaries and couldn't care less about others."

My personal opinion (which is based on nothing more than my personal opinion) is that these companies quickly pay the notaries in areas where they only have minimal coverage, and could care less about those in areas where they have a lot of coverage.

And by coverage, I mean notaries who are willing to work with them - it has nothing to do with the density of notaries in that area, and everything to do with how many people are willing to take their assignments. If you're in an area where they only get an occasional assignment, you're probably going to wait for your money. If you're in an area where there are dozens of hungry notaries, you're probably going to wait for your money. If you're in an area where they have trouble filling assignments, they want to keep you happy so you'll be paid on time.

It all comes down to basic supply vs demand...

I'm not sure what the reason for no/slow payment is. I suspect the overriding reason is probably cash flow, and then such things as availability of NSAs are factored in. Armour surprises me, though: The ony closing I ever handled for them was in March, and it paid within 16 days at my standard rate for an office closing, which is higher than usual. I must not have had the opportunity check them out in Signing Central, because the three reviews there are either lackluster or acidic. Because of my experience, and the lack of many reviews, I would work for them again.

Why in the world did you accept the second assignment?

Mixed reviews on this co. So far I've always been paid

within 30 days. You need to fax their invoice immediately after the closing.
BTW, it's Jessica Zinsavage. She used to be with Patriot Title.

Wow, I am really surprised...I just checked and I get

a closing from them about once a month. They pay in 3-4 weeks. And decent pay I might add.

They are very clear that you must fill out the invoice they include in the package and return it with it.

I'm sure you follow that direction, but maybe that could be it if not?

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems. I love working with Jessica. Good luck.

I think Patriot Title and Armour are one and the same. Have been for a long time.

Yes, I got 2 cks. today for signings on 4-20 & 4-23. As

I've already posted, I've never had a problem working with them or getting paid. I think I do
recall that payment had been running late under Patriot Title.

This is one example of how you can't always trust the

ratings in SC. Armour currently has a 2 l/2 star rating, and I would rate them at 4-5.

OMG! I absolutely agree Marilyn!

You all that are having problems make sure that you have submitted all the information they require.

W-9
Copy of E&O Insurance policy
??Copy of Commission??

INVOICE (it's best to use the invoice that they include with the package)
and whatever else they need in order to pay you, which, btw is very clear in their instructions. You definitely will not be paid if you have not submitted a W-9. That goes for most companies anyway.

Jessica is very busy and is not the person in charge of payment. If you are addressing payment issues with her, you are consulting with the wrong person. She will pass your information over to accounting but as far as that goes, there is nothing more she is able to do.

I LOVE when Armour/Patriot calls me and will work for them all day long.

I'm not inferring that anyone has NOT done any or all of the above, I'm just sayin. I would imagine that you must have just fallen through the cracks somehow.

I used/faxed a demand letter and got an immediate response. Amazing after trying to collect for a 1-17-12 signing.
Try it !
