Best EOM ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
If this keeps up, I'll be able to retire for real the next time around I made $xxxx in a matter of 4 days, these low rates ROCK!!!! It was mentally and physically draining though because I did no sub-contracting; also worked up until midnight the first 2 days. <yawn>

I agree! Great month! I am mentally and physically drained from two weeks of midnights of paperwork, printing docs and early morning to late last minute appointments! :-) I was told by a major bank loan officer that they expect this to keep going until Oct. They anticipate refiancing all the borrowers that qualify that are already on their books by then. Later this year they will be able to refi ANY loans that qualify even other bank loans. Hopefully this continues, I need to refurbish my savings account for the next drought.

The past 3 months (March, April and May) have been TERRIFIC for me! I got quite a bit of business during the slower portions of the month from some companies that although were new to me, not only paid well and but also provided repeat business (Thanks in part to my NR ad. Thanks NR!). Even my 1 "lowball" company has been paying me a competitive fee when requested. I hope this trend continues because I do need a new vehicle.....
I wish everyone success!

I am glad that the EOM was great..I had a record number of calls myself..But I could not do any this week! I was out of town helping a brother move and being with my sister for surgery..I felt like crying having to say no..But sometimes there are much more important things than work..I hope the work load keeps up..I need to replish my account too!

I was teaching on Thursday and didn't answer my phone, but had 12 voice mails for signings. Did 4 on Friday (turned down 3 others) and finished up today with one in the morning.
Fabulous end of the month. Nice!!

I know I'm ready for the funny farm.
It's been insane: getting home late, then doing statuses and printing docs so that I can get up too early the next day for too many days in a row. But it will be nice when the checks get here.
For me, housing prices came down low enough last year that, FINALLY, my husband and I bought a foreclosure. I remember we were scraping the money together for the cash needed to close. About the day after we signed, THAT'S when this signing picked up. (I had the notary fax me the note and the hud, and I told the SA, "Just give me the papers", and we signed like the wind.) After closing we had to pay a handiman for a couple of months to repair the new house, while we remained in our mobile home. So I am paying a mortage (with impounds), mobile home space rent, handiman fees, and materials. Then we moved into the new home and we had to put the handiman to work and buy materials to make the mobile home saleable. (The park says we can't rent it, so we HAVE to sell it). Anyway, with all of this work, I am able to do it. My husband's income is not enough to cover all of this.
Anyway, I thank God (or whomever) for these low rates and all this work, and I just pray it lasts until we can unload the mobile home. My husband complains that I am never home, but I remind him that we are still in the black.

Re: I know I'm ready for the funny farm.
Well, what a blessing! I think we're good for another 1.5 to 2 years in this biz. We have a tsunami of foreclosures coming down the pike. I had around a dozen short sales and REO purchases last week, the rest were refinances. I had the best monthend I've had in ten years.
When I got into this biz I had been laid off due to aftermatch of 911 event. I had no idea how I would find another job, but I did, and then a year and a half later, that job was carnage of 911 economics. This biz, while it has its ups and downs, had been a huge bonus to be working so hard and well a my stage in life.
Congratulations, tell hubby to dig his heals in for a while and to keep the home fire going in your absence, it's all good! God is good! Take care and eat plenty of broccoli!

Broccoli!?!?!? Really Cheryl! It's asparagus and artichoke
season ... to be washed down with a good CA zin or pinot. Yum. That'll keep him happy enuff til CJ can get the time to tend to his other needs!

What are you suggesting -- that CJ should do his laundry? Shine his shoes? Wash his car? What other needs could you be talking about?

Re: Broccoli!?!?!? Really Cheryl! It's asparagus and artichoke
Well, as CJ said: "My husband complains that I am never home." Now, lots of her husband's needs can be met in any number of locations. Don't have to be exactly at home. But in CJ's case, I'm suggesting that she focus on only those needs that require her to be home!
Being a veteran wife, I'm thinking along the lines of emptying the dishwasher, folding the laundry, etc.

Yeah, folding the laundry...my folks used to go to the
basement to 'do the laundry.' Always came back up all happy and, you know, ~happier~...
Laundry and dishes, yeppers, and the dusting...
