Florida Notary Renewal
Can someone tell me when the best time to renew my notary. It expires on August 11th and I have been receiving emails and notices in the mail since December. I usually get it from the National Notary Association, but they seem rather high.
I realize that a lot of members here will not know the answer for Florida, but anyone that is from Florida might know.
Thanks in advance.

About 2-3 weeks. Actually, mine took one week through Budget as they are across the street from the SOS office and just walk it over, but would rather err on the side of caution .

location of agency is irrelevant
The applications are submitted electronically. Budget processes applications no faster than any other agency.
I used the American Association of Notaries, super fast service and excellent quality supplies.

What's that adage about biting the hand that feeds you?
***I used the American Association of Notaries, super fast service and excellent quality supplies.***
Notary Rotary provides the best discussion forum around for signing agents. NotRot also offers a wide range of notary supplies, including the journal that sets the standard for the industry.
So a poster uses NotRot to promote the goods sold by another outlet. Now, that takes chutzpah -- and a decided lack of a sense of what is appropriate.
It should be noted that the same poster is disdainful of signing agents, which may explain why he shows so little regard for the operators of the premier signing agent site.

I agree...
I did it independently through the company I mentioned but not through another website - I'd like to point out that Notary Rotary offers assistance in not only becoming a notary but in renewals and all things relevant.

Website, company, it's all the same.
The polite thing to do would be to ask for all posts mentioning competition in the topic at hand to be removed. I was surprised to see another company's name come up yesterday without posted complaint. I used the button and will do so again.

"do so again" for the most recent mention
of competition.

I used Notary Rotary for my last renewal
The service was excellent, as usual, and I received my new commission about a month before the current one expired.

Re: I used Notary Rotary for my last renewal
I feel stupid, but where do you go on NR to renew? I know we can buy supplies and I have. (I will add that they are awesome) But I don't see anything except for info on renewing.

Click on the "Notary Supplies" tab above, then enter your
state (Florida) and click on "Enter Store"
The very first item is the commission renewal for $99.

Carolyn, I signed up right on Notary Rotary to take a
mandatory class along with the Notary Public Examination given by CPS HR Consulting out of Sacramento, CA. The Notary Learning Center handled the training. (In California it is mandatory to have training for all Notaries Public, new and renewing. The total cost was $251.35. The cost included the Live Scan Fingerprinting services and the Passport Photo Services. While some may think the cost is high, it was a convenience for me to have the Live Scan and photo completed prior to the training. While I'm not aware of the requirement for Noyary renewal in the state of Florida, I would presume, Notary Rotary offers assistance in Florida, as it did in California. Good luck, Stephanie ....sorry for any typos...
