Luckydog, it's quite unwise to disclose...
...in this forum that you print only on legal size paper. You will be pilloried. You will be shamed. You will be humiliated. You will be excoriated. You will be abused. You will be mortified. You will be derided, decried, disdained, disgraced, and demeaned. Never, ever admit that you have chosen not to use letter size paper.

If any one is interested
I found a $20 coupon for over a $75 purchase at Office Depot. I bought 2 cases of letter size paper that had $10 off each case. I needed binder clips. So 2 cases of paper. 12 boxes binder clips. $95.xx - $40.00 coupons. Plus tax $59.xx was final price for everything.
Anyhow coupon code is 46841416 expires May12th. Office Depot delivers free over $50 order.

Re: If any one is interested
This is what I may try, I've done this before with success not sure if it will work this time
Buy two cases of paper at Staples, $ 48.99 each (97.98), use the $20.00 coupon from Office Depot and get $34.00 x 2 rewards making it less than five dollars a case.
The last time I did this I used a staples coupon at office depot and ended up paying $2 a case. Hopefully staples will take the competitor coupon. There is also a coupon from office depot online for $10 off $50, you would use need to add a filler for a dollar to get one case up to the $50.

Re: If any one is interested
That is cool. I did get my 10%... Amazing... all the calculations you need to do. I happened to need binder clips. Wouldn't it be nice if they just sold paper at a reasonable price. Then of course you can go through Ebates to get to Office Depot (or Staples, I am sure) to get another 2%. lol. What a world

Re: Luckydog, it's quite unwise to disclose...
Not only all what Hugh said, but you also could cut your paper costs in half using letter (or even more since you're obviously printing borrower copy on legal, too. Yikes!). But you already knew that. My question to you is whadda u do when a Provident Bank loan comes along that can printed only letter size? (Maybe you're smart and refuse all Provident signings). Also, certain SSs demand letter/legal mix. There are a couple of lenders in my neck o the woods that absolutely require letter size on certain docs.... I'm sure they're not alone.
Just curious ....

In 10 years, I have never been asked for a letter/legal mix.
I have dual trays for quite a while now. When I was a CA notary, I printed all my docs on legal and never had a problem.

The opposite is true for me.Especially for the Deed of Trust
There are some counties that will charge an additional fee to record the DOT on legal size; therefore, most TC and others prefer the DOT to be on letter size only.
I too have a dual tray.

Re: The opposite is true for me.Especially for the Deed of Trust
I used to print on all legal and I never had an issue with anyone! I now have a dual try printer and I cant believe the cost savings!! Wish I had gotten a dual tray a long time ago..Most of the docs are letter sized in a loan package. Im using 1/4 of legal now..mostly letter which is much cheaper!
