Notarizing for an individual
I got a call while at my bank on Saturday. A man needed one page notarized. I met him at the parking lot of the bank and after getting his ID stamped the doc. What would you charge for this service?

Me personally I would charge what is allowed by state for the stamping. And depending on how long you had to wait, Charge a little clerical fee. Since you didn't have to drive out of your way to meet him.
What I would have charged for meeting him if I only had to wait like 5 Minutes or so would be $10 or $15. $5.00 for the stamp (pa's fee) And then $5 or $10 for clerical/time fee. Depending on how long it took him to get there.

In IL we can only chg $1. If they come to me most of the time I waive that. Not worth it most of the time. However, if I drive at all, its $1 per mile.

Since I was already there I'd just charge whatever my
state allows for notary fees. There's no travel involved and minimal time.

I've done what Linda H suggested. I've also charged a waiting fee at my normal hourly rate in 15 minute increments. Even if I'm out running errands, it's still my time that being spent for their convenience.

True "ikando". I do the same but it is $30 for the 1hr the 15 minuts based of $30 per hour. I am a State Official and how many State Official work off the clock. Plus Notary fees

We have a base fee but if I have to travel to do the signing I can charge mileage.
