NotaryFax Outbound Fax Release Delay
I was hoping I'd have an issue we're experiencing with outbound faxes resolved by now, but we're still waiting on an outside vendor for a fix. From what I understand, they are very close and are testing the fix internally before releasing it to us.
I expect that release will arrive in the next 2 weeks. If it doesn't, I may still make the NotaryFax outbound service available with a limitation related to page sizes. I'll explain that later if it comes to it.
In the meantime, please be sure you are familiar with how to create a PDF from your documents for use with our service. Our initial release will require that a PDF be uploaded to our web site. The procedure will be similar to composing a Private Message, except you will additionally need to “Upload” an attachment (the PDF).
Most good sheet-feeding scanners and some MFC devices are able to create PDF’s from a pile of papers. For signing agent use, we strongly recommend the Fujitsu S1500, which can make fax-backs a breeze. That scanner runs a little over $400 at the time of this post:

I’ll be posting more information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your patience.

Great information; thank you as always Harry. Cannot wait to try the NotaryFax feature once released. That Fujitsu scanner sure looks great. The price drew an intake of breath and a small gasp but you get what you pay for. The reviews of the S1500 unit are phenomenal; a worthwhile investment for sure.

"The price drew an intake of breath and a small gasp"
I had the same response, but because the price was the lowest I've seen for this model.

I purchased this scanner over a year ago and it is worth the money. It comes with the full Adobe Acrobat program which is not cheap when purchased seperately.

Harry, once you finish frying that egg, have you ever thought about a smart phone app for NotRot? I have dreamt of such a thing and would pay to have it on my phone or ipad.

It comes with the full adobe acrobat WOW! I want one!
Wow!! I had no idea. That does make it well worth it! I have a multifunction machine that is pretty good at scanning, but requires a bit more processing time than I want to handle. I'm putting this baby on my wish-list.
Thanks for the tip!

Re: Android APP
I would love an app so that I can check on companies in SC while away from the office..Its not that easy (for me anyway) to check it using my phone browser..

Me, too...
I remember doing some research on this scanner a year or a few ago and I remember the price being more in the $1300 range. So definitely a big improvement - and worth looking into, especially if I'm remembering correctly.

Re: Me, too...
I think this one was in the under $600 but there certainly were pricey ones too. Since I am more retired than not, I can't justify the expense at this time. I scan and CutePFD my way along with great success.

If you need to scan a document and your scanner does not output a PDF there are many FREE applications (Windows) that will allow you to print to a 'printer' that will output a PDF. I use "CutePDF" often for this purpose. There are others if you search. You can convert any document, photo, spreadsheet, etc. to a PDF using these applications.
Android - I use CamScanner to take a pix of driver's licenses and it also creates a PDF - I have the $5 pro version.

I also use Cute PDF and love the ease and simplicity of it. It is nice to know about the app - that would save me a step....think I'll get it. Thank you.
