Professional Settlement Services, LLC - Nevada
Solicted by this company to do Debt Settlements in my area. Found a couple other companies in NotRot by this name but this one is in Nevada. Checked under previous posts to see how happy others have been working for them and found mixed reviews. Anyone done any recent work for them? After reading their manual it seems like they are targeted more towards using Notaries as a marketer/sales for them rather then officiating closings?

Some of these debt settlement companies are just a pack of unscrupulous thieves trying to squeeze a few remaining dollars out of those in desperate circumstances having no knowledge of what to do, or where to turn. They like to get Notaries Public, being officers of the State, and having some credibility, to ‘front’ for them, meet with the borrowers face to face, pick up a check or some paperwork. In most cases you will be the ONLY person in their organization to do so, so when their sucker client realizes that they’ve been duped, these well hidden guys can leave it to the foolish notary to explain what happened (in court). Sound like a fun job? Just sign up and don’t worry….for awhile. JMO

Thank you so much! Thought it sounded fishy! Not anything I'm interested in.

Another down side: You may end up having the people that sign call you for all kinds of things as if you've become a member of their family.
I had a situation with an older woman signer who apparently didn't get a lot of visitors, so when I showed up, it was like I was a long lost relative. Because we had to communicate to set up the time to meet (she didn't want to meet as soon as I got the paperwork), she had my phone number and called me for weeks after. I don't mind being nice, and I felt sorry for her, but there has to be a limit.
