Somebody up there has it in for me
I missed two closings because I listed my primary number as my land line, and my biggest customer calls only one number when seeking a signing agent before going on to the next prospect.
Scriba/NM dismissively told me he has an extension to his land line surgically implanted in his left ear, so he doesn't miss such calls.
I changed the listing of primary phone to my cell phone, which would always be available.
Tuesday, the entire Sprint network, which Boost Mobile uses to provide service, went down throughout Texas.
I missed two closings because the title company could not reach my cell phone.
Scriba/NM dismissively proclaimed that after taking a degree in BS, with Barnyard Cluster, he established his own cell tower network and leases the AT&T network as his backup, so he never misses a cell phone call.

My primary and only designated number is my home landline phone (& internet & TV & fax & my spouse often makes super long phone calls on it, too, and just doesn't 'get' call waiting and...the biggie... IT ALWAYS WORKS).
Solution: Does require forming new habits but... Forward the landline to your cell when you're out of your home; when you send a fax--(assuming you have stand-alone fax); bop spouse in head until 'forwarding to cell when on phone excessively' becomes the better way; even forward to cell if you're gonna...say... talk to PB or long-lost buddy.

Yes, the solution in that case is to fwd land to mobile
Check your land line service company though, some charge for call forwards.
You can also set up a google voice mailbox for it to forward to, you could check that when you have wifi access (if you have wifi on your phone) whenever the network is out.
I've had Verizon for at least 8 years and never had trouble with call dropping, and only once did the network go out--it was out four to six hours.
