Trusted Enrolled Agent - more hooie from XXX
Its bad enough we have to be "certified" loan signing agents, now we have to be "Trusted Enrolled Agents" so we can: •Increase income opportunities and improve job performance by displaying achievement of designation •Possess the confidence to complete a flawless Notarization or to know when to refuse services
An enrolled agent to my thinking has always been "a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service . . ."
Boy, what a bunch of hooie

I agree totally. As an IRS Enrolled Agent I took many classes and passed 3 major tests. The XXX Trusted Enrolled Agent designation for Notaries doesn't compare. Hooie is right.

I use a enrolled agent to do my taxes, because of his extensive and ongoing knowledge of taxes and his ability to represent me if I ever have to face the IRS. As a "certified loan signing agent" you can be a person who has never done a loan signing in your life and still be certified, if you are willing to pay and take a simple test. It is just Hooie.

"Trusted Enrolled Agent" is a program of XYZ that they use for thier clients to lowball you. A request is e-mail to all TEA in the area with a very low ball fee, $35 printing, traveling , singing etc. I did some when they started several years ago, I was able to get more $$$ and travel fee. Then they begin e-mai to all xy Notaries that were part of that program for around 50 miles. (P S I no langer waste my $$$ on XYZ). The ones I did for them were to I D employees of sub contractors to allow them to get a code to access the internet programs to get plans and information on what they were doing. One I did was for a small part from a metal shop for Lockhead-Martin adout 200 miles Fort Worth TX, I made 3 trips for that and they only paid me for two. Took that last one on the phone late one night to be thier the next A M at 8.(2hrs drive) but did not go to the office to get the confirmation, that was never sent, so no pay. Docs had been e-mialed to the company. I could not prove I was asked to do the trip. I just don't play those gameq. I'm here to make money. The people who were in that Dept were a bunch of, shall we say, less than truthfull people. I understand the whole program and personnel my have change by now, but I won't have anything to do with it or XYZ.

I think the "title" is very misleading, and may make the public think you are something you are not. Apparently being a "certified" notary isn't enough for XXX so they've come up with another marketing ploy.

I believe that is called "Trusted Enrollment Agent
Certification" Has something to do with verifying Identificaiton of employees for companies. Was never implied to have anyting to do with tax preparation or expertise. If you care to hate XYZ, feel free to do so, but at least do it for what they actually do.

... "more hooie from XXX" Exactly right!
They create it & sell it. It sounds impressive, right, except that it doesn't really mean anything at all. I was one of the gullible when I was starting out & took their certification & bgc. At the time I felt I had to in order to be competitive in my market. Now, I wouldn't give then another cent!

in fact, I think the XYZ should change their name to $$$ because that is what they are all about.

Its not often, if ever, I want to talk to the IRS, but I'm happy to give them a shout saying "um, I think this title is misleading to the public" and "why don't you check it out".

I just went there and looked...all I saw was
"Trusted Notary"...
It used to be Trusted Agent I believe - I don't recall them ever calling it Trusted Enrollment Agent.

You are confusing the TEA with the "Trusted Notary"
certification, which is required to become a Trusted Enrollment Agent.
A Trusted Enrollment Agent helps enroll people who work at military and other federal facilities in a security certificate program. This is very easy work if you live in a military city that has a lot of these facilities around (like Tampa). You print less than 10 pages, meet a person at the facility, notarize one or two documents, fax the documents, and then shred them. The fee is $35. My office is within 5 minutes of at least 2 facilities that use this program and so it is well worth the $35 for me.

Does your state recognize such a capacity as a notary, or is
it one of the "titles" that XYZ has come up with?
