Wow! Thanks! Update Nations Signature Closers

I just received an email from Greg Rodden - VP at Nations Signature Closers... he said he had been made aware of my situation regarding the $25 Admin Fee, apologized that an error had been made in processing and that I could expect a check in the mail within the next few days.

I thanked him for his time and said I would update NR to let you guys know the outcome.

Linda - thank you for mentioning my issue in your phone call.

Now IF they were ALL that easy!

Smile

That's why this forum is so great! We have a place to

brainstorm issues like this instead of being hung out there on our own.
Congrats on a successful resolution to that issue! :-)

I was flat out lied to this morning on the phone with NSC

afterall. I spoke to a "manager" who specifically told me that it was for a BGC, not an admin fee. He told me that it is for volume notaries. This makes me more furious than I already am that my check didn't have a signature on it and I had to return it.

Re: I was flat out lied to this morning on the phone with NSC

Linda - I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm not sure their definition of "volume" - I might do 3 or 4 a year for them - that's why I had declined to be added to their "preferred" list in the first place.

Linda, I am also familiar with Mr. Rodden at NSC. Have you tried addressing it with him directly? I do a lot of work for them, and I am on their preferred vendor list. I cant imagine anyone is lying to you, maybe still just a misunderstanding of definition. JMO

If you work for the ‘good’ SS’s that are out there you don’t have to go though all these contortions to get paid. I’m a NSA... not a Chinese gymnast. A good SS calls you with a job; you do it, they pay you (within 30 days). WTF is so difficult about that? All this ‘other crap’ is just crap! White glove, golden glove, preferred notary, big volume to you, BGC form a particular company, Driver’s license, SS number, E&O from a particular company, sign up fee, all BS! ( “My accounting dept.” Your accounting dept???? You work out of your car, farming out closings, and you have an “Accounting Dept.”?) How about a real address, a toll free phone number? A BBB rating, some credit references, is your company registered with the SOS? Or you some deadbeat felon that just got out of stir, and heard of this wonderful scam deal where you can get people to work for free in front, and then if you don’t pay then it doesn’t matter. I see 3-5 new “signing companies” starting up every week, some from Calcutta. Yeah I really want to jump through a bunch of hoops to go to work for some no nothing deadbeat, offshore company that I KNOW will not pay…..We NSA’s MUST have the reputation of being the MOST GULLABLE people on the planet!~ JMO!

Disagree

I ran a National Signing Service a few years back, and what is easily misunderstood by people like Les is not every notary performs to the same level, and not every signing occurs without complication. It is one of several downsides to providing national coverage to high volume lenders.

If you think the process is a simple as you stated above, you are mistaken.

You would be surprised of what “Les” understands. I never said the entire process was simple….Perhaps you should go back and read some of my previous posts? Or my last post? What I said was that PAYING for the work done was simple! The SS schedules a job, we do the job, they pay as agreed…ANYTHING ELSE IS TOTAL BS!!!!! It’s a different story if we don’t do the job, or we don’t do the job satisfactorily, or we don’t show up or we forget to return the docs or.. or.. or…
BTW…What NATIONAL SS did you run? And just what are you doing now? Any why is it that you feel that you must remain anonymous?

Then these comments by you seem to be the reason you are not currently in business.
I say for myself, the 2 reasons I"m not a signing service is 1) I dont want to deal with lender, title or escrow companies, and 2) I don't want the resonsibility for getting notaries paid quickly. I'll take the easy money I'm paid by the people I work for.

I emailed a hyperlink to NSC so they'd know their shenanigans were being discussed.

LOL...I so love Les! (Hi Claudia! xo) And any NSA that

DOESN'T agree with Les really needs to rethink why they're IN this business. It doesn't get any SIMPLER (is that a word?) than THAT!

Of course that's just my humble opinion!
