Tab at top of page, next to Notary Talk, is Signing Central. Click on there. TC's & SS's are listed along with their contact info and reviews. Some require an agreement, others don't. It's up to you if you wish to sign it.

Agree with Yoli. You must email or go to each website individually and be prepared for lengthy applications for some. If you can cut and paste the same thing for most, it goes faster. Also look and see how many stars and how the members comments look before you waste your time on some. Anything under 3 stars, I would not bother with. Another trick is to see under members comments where they are from. If you see everything west coast and you live east coast, that means they probably have no business for you. Try and find comments from other closers in your state.

After you click on "Signing Central," you'll see four choices, one of which is "Signing Service Listings." Click on that choice and you'll then see a long list of companies, arranged alphabetically. Some are signing services, and some are title companies. They all assign us to complete signings for them, but those with the highest star ratings to the left of the company names are normally the best for which to work, for the stars are assigned by our members who have worked for the companies. You can just scroll down the alphabetical list and contact those with the highest ratings (like 3 or more stars, as previously recommended). Here's an easier way. The left column has the star rating, with the second column having the company name. In between those titles at the top of the columns is a downward-pointing arrow. Click on that arrow and, in a few seconds, the information will reappear, with the companies arranged by star rating, with the 5-star players being at the top. That will make it easier to keep track of your progress, and hopefully prevent selecting one that has a lower rating than you prefer. You can spend several days getting registered with those 5 star-to-3 star companies, but that will be time well spent. If you can't do them on consecutive days, just keep pinging away at it, as you have the time, and you should soon have an increase in calls, mostly from the companies you've registered with. Hang in there!

Karla: There's 4 columns in SC. One of them is "Sort By" and has a drop-down list (with an arrow). I believe that's what Jack is referring to. JMO

Thanks Yolanda~ I know I've seen the "Sort By" before a time or two but it's not there now. I also remember seeing something about being a "Premier Member" in order to sort. I'm a regular member so that may be the issue here, or I'm doing something wrong.

No, Karla. You're right. I just logged out and "Sort By" column does not appear. See ... another reason to be a premier member!

And you could sort SC any way you wish; more searching options for everything; discounts everywhere. The journal is a much loved item as are some of the stamps as well as seals. Free fax here, soon to be outgoing as well, one stop shopping for essentials and the service is the best.

Karla, I think others answered your questions while I
was doing din-din and a nap. On another subject, I just might register with the National Paralegal folks, for signings only. If so, I'll put you as the reference source. Thanky......

One more thing (for all newbies)... lots of people will recommend you apply directly to title companies. I recommend you wait until you have at least 100 signings under your belt. The title company folks expect you to already know your stuff and don't have a lot of time - or patience - for answering lots of questions, especially about basic stuff. If you run into any issues at all, they're likely to just cross you off their list and you'll never know why you don't hear back from them.
So why burn your bridges when you're still in learning mode? And there's lots more to learn than you might think, because every lender and every title company does things a little differently. Remember, we don't know what we don't know!
Not everyone will agree with me on this, but unless you're in an under-served area, what seems like a short cut may actually cost you more in the long run. Just my two cents...
