need Fed Ex acct # for National Link
They usually want UPS and I just realized that I am out of waybills for UPS and my UPS drop location does not carry waybills that are "bill receiver". I'd like to get this package out today with Fed Ex. Many thanks.

The one I've used is ******, but.........
that might be lender-specific, or have some other assignment related determining qualities. Best to do as stated by Clem/CA, and "Call your hiring party."

It may me just me, but it seems pretty wrong to publish a FedEx account number in public like that... that's kind of like posting a credit card number.

....totally agree with you Marian. I can't believe someone would post a UPS account number on a public website like that.

and I also can't believe someone would come on here and ask
for someone to post a UPS account number. Call whoever hired you and ask them to provide the proper number for you.

Re: and I also can't believe someone would come on here and ask
Maybe that number should not have been posted, but are some thoughts about why it may not be a big deal. One can make up numbers and try to get something shipped. If the numbers don't equate to an actual account number, the item does not ship, and the shipping company will try to contact the sender. If the numbers are for an actual account, the package will ship to the destination address, obviously leaving a paper trail from its source to the destination (and sometimes with identification of the sending and/or receiving individual). The owner of the account will pay for authorized shipments which it has sent and/or received, not for the others. Bad guys on both ends of a falsified/unauthorized shipment will soon be contacted by less-than-cheerful representatives of the shipping company. There are gazillions of pieces of paper, in trash cans and elsewhere, with numbers for all sorts of accounts on them. Merely knowing a real account number of creating a fake number does not successfully deceive anyone. If you have an account number, XXXXXXY, for example, and someone sees it here, do you really think you'll suddenly be paying for shipments billed to XXXXXXY? I doubt it. If you happen to own account xXXXXXY, forget you read this........

Re: and I also can't believe someone would come on here and ask
You have breached confidentiality by giving out that number online or at all, really. You could be liable if anyone does use it. All FedEx needs is an account number and they will ship off it. You may want to contact an admin here and ask them to delete the posts with that number or at least redact it.
Because others stupidly throw out and do not safeguard sensitive information does not give you license to post a private account number online.
There are people who can take one bit of personal information and do wonders with it. It's not just about shipping items under the number. It's the fact that you've given enough information that can lead to someone's account being hacked or compromised. Identity theft is very real and it happens to companies as much as it happens to individuals.
IMO your posting that # is very poor form and grossly unprofessional. Even more shocking is that you said that you don't even know if that number is a lender's number of the company's number. Yet, you still posted it.
If I was a title company or lender and saw either of your posts I would never hire you or trust you with my sensitive information.
And to the original poster: if you have questions, especially regarding the returning of time-sensitive loan documents, please contact the company directly. What if someone transposes a number or gives you the wrong information altogether. Where does that leave the borrower, title company, and ultimately your relationship with that party? Just ask. The people who hire us would rather we ask questions when we're unsure rather than botch the job. There is no harm in asking a question or not knowing something.

With National Link you man need more than a FexEx #. The paid me for a job and the check bounced. When I call them about it the lady said she would take care of it. Four weeks latter I got a check from them for $15 and the check was for $100. The $15 just covered the bank charge. Good news the $15 check did not bounce. I refuse to do any work for them.

You might be right, but PegiT MN, you'e posted it, too.
It's in your subject line of the response to my posting. I've already asked Harry to remove my message. Over to you............ Cheers.

I absolutely did not post the number Jack.....I simply responded to the post that was already there......the damage had already been done by the first poster who posted the account number. I believe that may have been you.

Here is: 211 940 956 Remember to write the file/order# on item#2 "Your Internal Billing Reference" (in the middle of the Airbill); otherwise, NL may not accept this package and pay for it. By the way, UPS stores and drop boxes (at least in my areas) do not provide shipping materials for quite some years. Patti, i understand you are good and responsible, but sometimes we can just do so much. If NL did not ask you for Monday delivery, then don't worry about it.

know that SL #'s and NL #'s are interchangeable. Have a great weekend everyone!
