FedX boxes gone from Post Offices

I was just told by my FedX Office rep that the contract between the Post Office and FedX is up and all--at least in Michigan--drop boxes have been removed from those locations. So if your go-to location to drop packages was the box in front of the USPS, you need to find another location. To possibly make up for the removal, a box location has been added to the area with a pickup time 30 minutes earlier than the USPS box.

On another note, FedX--and I'm sure UPS--regularly reviews all dropbox locations, looking at the volume in the box and whether it's worth it to keep the box in that specific location and even changing the time of the pickups. So it might be a good idea to occasionally go online and review the locations of boxes in your area.

Linda, I noticed the box in front of my post office here in Tulsa was gone last week. Not a problem for me personally, because I never used that one.

I hadn't thought about checking locations/times online, but it is a very good idea.

Fed ex gone from the Post Office here too. They also have been removing from other locations, making finding a box few and far between now down here. Sad. Used to be searching for the UPS, now Fed Ex is getting just as bad.

Yes, they're being removed from the PO's. I guess the

PO figures they're supporting their competition. Also, they now have a "relationship" with UPS, and I'm sure that's what created the change.
